Get reading project
The idea of using graded readers in my teaching practice is to give students the opportunity to read for pleasure, on their own, while they acquire new language and improve in all four skills.
Sometimes I bring readers into class and I leave students browse through them. Then we create a sort of class library, with a student who becomes the librarian and keeps a record of the books on loan. So the students are completely autonomous, they borrow books, read them and recommend titles to each other.
I also use readers during school summer holidays as a follow-up work. They choose works by authors they will study. All students in a class read the same book and at the beginning of the following year I work on post-reading activities for feedback and to allow them to exchange their impressions.

We are wild about books!
The following book reviews are the result of this year activities in class. We have decided to start a new section in the school website to collect them and recommend our choices to other students.
You might find errors in the reviews we wrote - we are already good readers but we are still learning English! So please forgive us.
