Pip is a young, poor boy. He loves Estella, a beautiful but proud girl and he wants to marry her, but it isn’t possible because Pip is a blacksmith and Estella is a lady. But one day Pip becomes rich, and he has great expectations. Pip changes, he becomes a snobbish, and he forgets his friends. But what is really important: to be a gentleman or a good person? To have a lot of money or to have a lot of friends?

Great Expectations is a book written by Charles Dickens.
It’s very nice, and the message is really meaningful: it tells about Pip, a young boy who’s poor, and he becomes a gentleman, but he understands that money isn’t important to be happy… you can be happy if you’ve got friends!
Read this book, it’s really interesting and funny, too!!C. Carrara (2L)
The story is about Pip, a poor young boy who becomes a gentleman when one day a lawyer visits him and he becomes rich. When Pip is poor he's a beautiful person but when he's a gentleman he becomes proud, unkind and very sad.
The most important message of the book is that money isn't important to become a gentleman, great expectations aren't important, but friends are important, very important. They help you when you've got a problem and nobody is happy when he hasn't got a friend.
Read the book, it's fantastic and there is a very interesting love story!!G. Piccinini (2L)
